We believe that if you change the university, you can change the world. Students who encounter Jesus in college become lifelong disciples–impacting their families, communities and workplaces, creating ripple effects of renewal throughout the world. InterVarsity campus staff in the Southeast have a unique opportunity to upend cultural Christianity by discipling students through a lens often unexperienced in the "Bible belt." We develop students to lead missional communities–reaching out to their spheres of influence on campus. We train students to study the Bible inductively, giving all authority to the Scriptures and entrusting the Holy Spirit with the task of transformation. We lead students in outreach and evangelism, worship and prayer, in hopes that they will become Kingdom people in the world, impacting with the Good News every space in which they find themselves.
We also raise our own budgets, submitting our pride and control of our resources to the Lord, as we learn to network well and care for partners who support us in ministry. We are administrators, counselors, managers and advocates, researchers, learners, innovators and friends.
InterVarsity staff is a dynamic career–always changing, requiring a willingness to be flexible and to take risks. The Southeast region has 512 college campuses. In each Area there is opportunity to serve with existing chapters or plant new ones. Could IV staff in the Southeast be in your future? Pray and research by clicking the links below!
